LIONS PARK ST HELENS

Public BBQ

Lions Park in St Helens sits just outside town on the edge of Georges Bay, offering a beautiful waterside location with coin-operated BBQ facilities (20 cents). The park features a fully fenced playground suitable for all ages, clean toilets, and picnic tables with views across the bay. While positioned at the corner of a highway with some traffic noise, it serves as an excellent roadside stop with walking trails that connect to nearby mountain bike tracks. The park includes parking areas suitable for overnight stays and a jetty extending into the bay that provides good fishing opportunities. Despite the BBQs needing occasional maintenance, the overall facilities are well-maintained, making it a popular spot for families travelling through the area. The combination of water views, protected picnic areas, and convenient amenities creates a practical stopover point along the Tasmanian coast.
